The VRX Series is a European-standard countertop refrigerated display cabinet engineered for professional foodservice operations that demand freshness, hygiene and a clean, premium look at the point of sale. Built with AISI 304 stainless steel inside and out, it combines a robust, easy-to-clean structure with world-class refrigeration components — Embraco and Zanussi compressors paired with Dixell, Carel or Eliwell digital thermostats — for stable, energy-efficient holding of chilled food between 0 °C and +10 °C.

The cabinet is designed around GN 1/4 and GN 1/3 gastronorm pans, giving operators a flexible, modular way to present pastries, desserts, sandwiches, salads, garnishes, cold cuts, dairy and beverages. Selected models hold up to nine GN 1/4 pans on a single footprint, so a wide assortment can be merchandised in a compact 335 mm-deep unit that fits comfortably on any counter or back bar.

Foamed with CFC-free polyurethane insulation and available with R134a, R600a or the new-generation R290 refrigerant, the VRX Series meets European environmental and efficiency expectations while keeping food safely chilled. Adjustable feet allow the cabinet to be levelled on uneven worktops, and the SS201 stainless steel top cover delivers a durable, hygienic working surface that protects the display area. With five lengths from 1200 mm to 1800 mm, the VRX Series scales from a single espresso bar to a full buffet line.

Application

Cafés, coffee shops & bakeries — Display croissants, cakes, tarts, muffins and pastries at the counter where customers order. The static cooling system keeps baked goods fresh without drying them out, and the SS201 top cover doubles as a clean service surface.

Patisseries & dessert bars — Present plated desserts, cream cakes, macarons and chocolate work in GN 1/4 pans that can be swapped between the display and the back-of-house preparation area.

Restaurants & hotels — breakfast buffet and à la carte service — Hold butter portions, cheeses, cold cuts, yoghurts, fruit and salads at safe temperatures with quick, hygienic access.

Deli counters, sandwich shops & salad bars — Lay out fillings, garnishes and prepared salads in modular GN pans for fast, made-to-order assembly.

Bars, pubs and cocktail lounges — Keep garnishes, fruit, mixers and bottled drinks chilled and visible at the back bar.

Ice cream, gelato & frozen dessert shops — Store toppings, sauces and fresh garnish within easy reach of the serving area.

Convenience stores & supermarkets — Impulse display of chilled snacks, drinks, sushi boxes and ready-to-eat items at the checkout or front-of-store.

Catering, events, food trucks & mobile kitchens — Compact 335 mm depth and adjustable feet make the cabinet easy to install and level in temporary or mobile setups, including outdoor ambient conditions.

Canteens, hospitals, schools & offices — Safe, hygienic chilled holding for meal service lines and self-service areas.

FAQ

Q1. What temperature range does the cabinet hold? A: The standard operating range is 0 °C to +10 °C, controlled by a premium Dixell, Carel or Eliwell digital thermostat for precise, stable holding of chilled food.

Q2. Which gastronorm pans can I use? A: The cabinet is designed for GN 1/4 pans as standard (5 to 9 pans depending on model) and can also accept GN 1/3 pans. Because the pans are standard GN sizes, they can be interchanged with your existing kitchen pans and tray racks.

Q3. Why static cooling instead of a fan? A: Static cooling moves air gently and naturally rather than blowing it directly over the food. This is preferred for pastries, cakes, desserts and garnishes, which lose moisture and texture quickly under forced air. It also reduces noise.

Q4. What refrigerants are available? A: R134a and R600a are standard options, and the cabinet can also be supplied with R290, the new-generation natural refrigerant with very low global warming potential. Insulation is CFC-free foamed polyurethane. Please confirm the required refrigerant for your market when ordering.

Q5. Which compressors and thermostats are used? A: The cabinet uses high-quality Embraco or Zanussi compressors — well-known, widely serviced commercial refrigeration brands — together with Dixell, Carel or Eliwell digital thermostats. All are established Italian / international components with global spare-parts availability.

Q6. What is the cabinet made of? A: Both the interior and exterior are AISI 304 stainless steel, the standard for food-contact hygiene and corrosion resistance. The top cover is SS201 stainless steel, providing a durable, easy-clean surface.

Q7. Can it be used outdoors or in a food truck? A: Yes — the adjustable feet allow it to be levelled on uneven or mobile surfaces. As with any refrigeration unit, avoid direct sunlight and provide adequate ventilation around the compressor compartment. For high-ambient applications, please advise us so the correct configuration can be specified.

Q8. How much space do I need on the counter? A: The cabinet is only 335 mm deep and 435 mm high, and ranges from 1200 mm to 1800 mm in length depending on the model, so it fits comfortably on standard bar, counter and buffet surfaces.

Q9. Is the top cover included? A: Yes, the unit is supplied with an SS201 stainless steel top cover, which protects the display area and provides a hygienic top working surface.

Q10. How many units fit in a container? A: A 40′ container loads 386 / 336 / 310 / 294 / 260 units for the 1200, 1400, 1500, 1600 and 1800 mm models respectively — an efficient loading density for distributors and importers.

Q11. Is it CE / European standard compliant? A: The cabinet is built to European standard requirements. Certification and electrical configuration are confirmed according to the destination market — please specify your country at the time of enquiry.

Q12. Can I order a custom length, branding or pan layout? A: Yes. OEM branding, alternative lengths, pan configurations and electrical specifications are available on request. Contact us with your requirement and target market.
